Sending Quiz for Approval

When the author is satisfied that all comments and suggested changes are addressed, the author can send the quiz to be approved.

The approval stage of the lifecycle initiates the following events:

• The quiz is incremented to a major (published) version
• The lifecycle status is set to Approval
• The workflow status is set to Quiz Approval Workflow In Progress
• An approval workflow is initiated
• Approval tasks are generated for each of the approvers selected
• Email notifications advising of the assigned approval task are sent to each of the approvers

To begin the approval process:

1. Select Change Lifecycle Status from NextDocs on the quiz context menu
2. Enter the user id of the approver or select one or more approvers
3. Click Start Workflow

The approval process initiates a workflow and updates the workflow status to Quiz Approval Workflow In Progress. The status remains the same until either all approval tasks are completed or the approval workflow terminates.

The Workflow Status screen provides a link to the Workflow Overview screen which contains information such as the workflow status details, user actions, workflow tasks, and a link to the In Progress approval workflow.
