Requesting a New Document
By default, the standard operating procedure document type is not configured to require a new document request approval. If an administrator modifies this configuration or creates a new document type that does require approval, the system creates a request in the new document request list and start an approval workflow when a user submits a request for a document of this type.
The request approval process initiates the workflow and updates the workflow status to Approval Workflow In Progress and the lifecycle status to In Approval. The status display remains until either all approval tasks are completed or the approval workflow terminates.
The workflow status provides a link to the Workflow Overview screen that contains the workflow status details, the user actions, the workflow tasks and a link to the technical details for the currently In Progress approval workflow.
