Running from command prompt
Another trick you can use to debug problems with the encoding service is to start it from the command prompt. When you do this you will immediately see errors that occur in the console.
To run from the command prompt follow these steps:
- Stop the service if it is currently running.
- Open a command prompt.
- Go to the directory where the service is installed.
- Type the following :
NewsGator.VideoStream.EncodingService.exe -run
