Function |
Purges older user notifications from the NewsGator database. The number of days to keep is a setting in the Job Configuration section of the NewsGator Social Platform Management page. |

Consequences of stopping |
User notifications build up in the database, causing database size growth, and users who don't regularly dismiss their notifications will see an ever-larger number of them in their Activity Stream web part. |
