imCreating a Message - Step 6: Notes & Tasks

On the Notes & Text page, you can create, edit, and delete notes and tasks for the message.

To create a note:

  1. Type your note in the New Note field.
  2. Click POST.

To delete a note, in the Notes section, click Delete of the note.

About tasks

The Tasks section displays a list of tasks that you chose for all your messages on the List Settings page. A task is classified as one of the following:

  • Required: You must complete required tasks before sending the message. If you send the message before a required task is completed, an error message appears.
  • Reminder: You can send a message before reminder tasks are competed. If you send the message before a reminder task is completed, a message appears reminding you to complete the task.
  • Optional: You can send the message without completing optional tasks.
  • Disabled: This task does not appear on the task list.

Marking a task as completed

In the Tasks section, click the Done check-box for the task and type a date in the Date Completed column.

About link alias lists

Link Alias lists show clickthru links in both HTMLHypertext Markup Language. A set of tags used to mark the structural elements of text files. HTML files include tags that create hyperlinks to other documents on the Internet. and text versions of the message. Aliases help you easily identify links in your messages.

For example, if you link to the movie home page at www.goodmovies.com, you can give it an alias such as Movie Home PageAn individual topic within a Help system.. This alias shows up in reports.

Viewing the HTML link aliases or text link aliases list

Select the HTML Link Aliases or Text Link Aliases tab.

Creating an alias for a link

Replace the text in the field below the link with the name you want.

Next steps

After you finish with the Notes & Tasks page, click SAVE, and do one of the following:

  • Click Back to return to the Text page.
  • Click SAVE & FINISH to complete your message and return to the View Messages page.
