Enterprise Metadata and Keywords Settings

The Enterprise Metadata and Keywords Settings link allows you to add enterprise keywords. An enterprise keyword column allows user to enter one or more text values that will be shared with other users and applications to facilitate searching and filtering consistency and reuse.

• Add Enterprise Keywords adds an Enterprise Keywords column to the list and enables Keyword synchronization.
• Click on the checkbox for Enterprise Keywords to add the column to the library.
• Metadata Publishing adds values in Managed Metadata and Enterprise Keywords fields to My Site profiles as social tags.
• Click on the checkbox for “Save metadata on this list as social tags” to create social tags.
