Document Relationships

The Document Relationships feature allows a user to link documents that have a functional relationship. For example, a training procedure for filling out a form could have a relationship to the form itself. When one of the documents is modified the other will require review to determine if it needs updating.

The Document Relationships feature must be enabled at the document library level, although the relationships themselves are defined at the site collection level. Relationships can span sites and libraries as long as the feature is enabled in each library. The feature is not available for non-document lists.
