Audit Log

The document audit log provides a formatted, filterable history of all events that have occurred since the document was created. Every event is recorded in the audit log either by native SharePoint or by NextDocs. NextDocs has continued to enhance the audit logging with each new release. As features are added, new audit entries are built into the system. For a complete list of the events that are recorded, refer to the table “Feature Availability”.

Tip: Filtering of the document audit log is not available if the system is configured to use the Legacy Audit Log.

If Audit Log is enabled after the document is created, the system will retain all events for future display including those that occurred prior to the feature being enabled.
