Manage files which have no checked in version

The Manage files which have no check in version link allow you to manage files that do not have a checked in version in a library that has the Require Check Out enabled. In a “Require Check Out” library, documents created using the New Document command and documents uploaded through the Upload link remain checked out until they are actively checked in by a user with the appropriate credentials. If there is no checked in version, it will not appear to users in the library.

  1. Click on Manage files which have no check in version.
  2. To take ownership of a document that does not have a checked in version:
    • Click on the check box next to the file.
    • Click on the Take Ownership of Selection link on the toolbar.
  3. Click OK on the confirmation dialog to confirm the action or on the Cancel button to abort.
