Document Library Content Types

The Content Types section displays the content types that are active in the document library. For details on adding site content types refer to the section titled: Site Content Types. If you do not see a Content Types section, check to make sure that you enabled content management as defined in the section titled Document Library General Settings.

Additionally, you can determine which content types will be displayed on the New menu in your document library and in which order.
