Advance settings

The Advanced settings link provides a miscellaneous group of settings for the document library.

  1. Content Types allows you to specify whether or not to allow content type management. Select Yes if you intend to add Content Types to the document library. If this is set to No, the Content Types section will be hidden from view.
  2. Document Template allows you to specify the address of the document template that will be used for new documents.
  3. Opening Document in the Browser allows you to specify the default for opening browser-enabled documents, i.e., whether to open the document in the client application, in the browser or to use the server default.
  4. Custom Send to Destination allows you to specify a “Custom Send to Destination” on the context menu for the library.
    • Enter a friendly name in the Destination name text box. This will be displayed on the Send To submenu.
    • Enter the URL of the destination location.
  5. Folders will allow you to specify whether to display the New Folder menu item. By default this is set to Yes.
  6. Search allows you to specify whether the library should be visible in search results. By default this is set to Yes.
  7. Offline Client Availability allows you to specify whether the library should be made available to offline clients. By default this is set to Yes.
  8. Site Assets Library allows you to specify whether the library is a site assets library and can be used to store images and other files that users upload to their wiki pages. By default this is set to No.
  9. Datasheet allows you to specify whether datasheet mode is available for bulk editing. By default this is set to Yes.
  10. Dialogs set dialog handling. If dialog boxes are available, specify whether to launch the new, edit and display forms in a dialog box. Setting this to No will cause these actions to navigate to a full page. By default this is set to Yes.
