Stop back-end services on web front ends
By default, every install leaves the Aurea Social backend services running on all servers in the farm, even the web front ends.
- From Central Administration, go to Application Management > Manage Services on Server, and find these two NewsGator services:
- NewsGator Social Application Services
- NewsGator Social Platform Services v2
- At the top of the page, click on the Server dropdown and select Change Server.
- Choose a web front end server, then stop both of these services.
- Repeat for each web front end.
