Manage Features

For the deployed modules, there are features that you will need to activate before they can be used. Based on the feature, the activation triggers specific events to take place, such as adding feature specific content types or columns, installing additional software, providing access to third party software, such as Nintex Workflow 2010, etc.

Some features are activated at a site collection level and some are activated for each site where they are to be made available. Still others cannot be activated at the site level until they are activated at the site collection level.

Activation levels are defined for each feature in the section of the document where the feature is documented.
