Assign ContinuityAdministrator Privileges

AMS Administrators can use all the features of the AMS Admin Console except those explicitly limited to Super Administrators and the AMS Root Account. (These exceptions are listed under Assign Super Administrator Privileges.)

Assigning administrative privileges to an account:

  1. Log into the AMS Admin Console using an existing super administrator account or the AMS Root Account provided by Support.
  2. From the AMS Admin Console, click User Administration.
  3. Click Administrators.
  4. In the Search box, type the email address or name of the appropriate user. Click Search.
  5. In the search results, locate the appropriate user and click the check box next to the name. Click Add.
  6. The Administrators page refreshes and the name of the new administrator appears near the top of the page.

Remove administrative privileges from an account:

To revoke the administrative rights from an administrator account and demote the account to a regular user:

  1. Log into the AMS Admin Console using an existing super administrator account or the AMS Root Account provided by Support.
  2. Click Administrators.
  3. Click the Remove check box next to the appropriate administrator’s name.
  4. Click Remove.

Upon their next login, these administrators will no longer have administrator rights.
