Float And Lock

Documents that are related by means of a float and lock relationship type remain related the same way that non-version specific related documents do, but only during their authoring phases. As each of the documents reaches a major version, the relationship is locked down and does not progress. If one of the documents is incremented to a new minor version, the relationship can be re-established manually or automatically based on the” Manage Lifecycle Reset of Parent” configuration discussed later.
