Effective Audit Log

To access the document audit log, select View Audit Log from NextDocs on the document’s context menu.

The events associated with an effective workflow which is successfully completed are recorded in the audit log as follows:

  • Workflow Started entry - This entry records information that when the workflow was started. This entry identifies the user id of the workflow initiator if it was manually started. If the workflow is not manually started, the entry indicates that it is started by SharePoint\system
  • Lifecycle Status Change entry - This entry indicates that the document lifecycle status was updated from either Approval or Training to Effective by SharePoint\system

If the workflow terminates either manually or unexpectedly, the audit log captures the following events:

  • Workflow Terminated entry - This entry indicates that the workflow was terminated by the user or the system as a result of an error in the workflow
  • Lifecycle Status Change entry - This entry indicates that the document lifecycle status is updated from Effective to either Training or Approval by SharePoint\system
