Effective Documents Library
When a document reaches the Effective lifecycle stage, the system publishes a copy of the document to the effective documents library. The format that is published to the library is dependent on the format selected in Document Type during document creation. A document remains in the effective documents library as the current published version until the source document is re-versioned through the content change request process, processed through its lifecycle, and made effective. If document is deemed as Obsolete, the document remains in the effective documents library but it is not displayed in the default library view.
The effective documents library is configured to store document with major versions only as all documents stored here are copies of published and finalized versions. The effective documents library helps a user to issue and manage controlled prints.
Access to the effective documents library is limited as defined in the NextDocs Permissions and Access table.
