Package Deployment

Package Deployment provides the ability to export or deploy a file of the type “.ndp”. NextDocs uses a set of NDP files to configure sites as developed for the baseline solution. NDP Files (NextDocs Package Files) are xml files that contain specifications for lists, content types, groups, list items, features, lifecycles and a constantly expanding set of other entities that are created on the site or workspace when the NDP is deployed through our custom page or as part of feature activation. The out-of-the-box NDP files are designed to “lay down” the Clinical eTMF solution. Additional ndp files may be deployed to add unique customer specific configurations or data.

Warning: If there are custom configurations they should be included with the baseline ndp files prior to deployment so that the ndp file deployment does not overlay the customized selections. If they are not included in the baseline ndp files, they should be deployed after the baseline NDP files.
