Approval Audit Log

To access the document Audit Log, select View Audit Log from NextDocs on the document’s context menu.

Audit Log Entries

All events associated with the document being transitioned to the Approval stage will be recorded in the Audit Log as follows:

• There will be a Workflow Started entry that records when the workflow was started and the User-ID of the person who initiated the workflow.
• There will be a Lifecycle Status Change entry which indicates that the document lifecycle status was updated from “Draft” to “In Approval” by SharePoint\system. This entry will contain the version number of the document prior to being incremented to a major version.
• There will be a Version Change entry indicating that the document version was incremented as part of the Approval Workflow. The description will contain the previous and current version numbers.
