Reference List Population

Since references lists are lookup lists, before the administrator adds a clinical trial to the system, he will need to add the selectable values to these lists on the hub site. Only the values he adds to the lookup lists will be presented for selection on the User Interfaces (UIs). For example, the products he adds to the Investigational Products list are the products that will be presented for selection when he adds a new clinical trial.

To populate a lookup list, that administrator will:

1. Select View All Site Content from the Site Actions menu.
2. Scroll down and select the list.
3. Click on the Add new item link.
4. On the list UI complete, at a minimum, all required fields.
5. Click on the Save button.

Some lists are dependent on other lists. For example, for the administrator to add a new Facility, there are several lists that will require population first, namely Facility Types, Countries and Providence State Country.
