Phonetic Search Enabled

Learn about Phonetic Search Enabled attribute.

The field can be searched using a phonetic search algorithm.

An additional icon is displayed beside the field, allowing the user to select whether he wants to search for this field's value phonetically. For a description of the phonetic search algorithm. For further details, see Phonetic Search in the Web Business Logic User Guide.

Make sure you check this attribute for only one field of the Search control.

Note: For the field for which you check this attribute a phonetic index for must be defined in the data model, see Index in the CRM.Core Administrator Guide (index field property PHONETIC).Do not enable the phonetic search for enhanced search fields. For further details, see Enhanced Search Field.
