Creating a message from a template (EmailLabs)

Before you begin

You can add text to the message only if your template includes editable regions. For information about creating editable regions in a template, see Creating a Template.

Creating a message from a template

  1. On the navigation bar, click Create a Message.
  2. In the Message Format section, select From Template, and then select the desired template from the drop-down list.

  1. Follow the instructions for choosing settings and click SAVE & NEXT.
  2. Click Edit HTMLHypertext Markup Language. A set of tags used to mark the structural elements of text files. HTML files include tags that create hyperlinks to other documents on the Internet. of the first editable regionEditable regions are sections in the template that you can edit in messages. you want to edit.
  3. Follow instructions for adding HTML.
  4. Click SAVE & NEXT.
  5. Do one of the following:
  • To add content to the text version:
  1. Click Edit Text of the first region you want to edit.
  2. Follow the instructions for creating the text version.
  3. Click SAVE & NEXT to return to the Text page.
  4. Follow steps 7(i) through 7(iii) to edit other editable regions.
  • If the HTML and Text regions have the same name and you want to use the same content for both versions, select the Use HTML content for Text Regions check-box.
  1. Click SAVE & NEXT.
  2. Follow the instructions for making changes on the Notes & Tasks page.
  3. Click SAVE & FINISH. The message is created.
NOTE

Any changes you make to the template after the message is created will not affect the message.
