Creating a template

You create templatesA template is a starting point for any message. in EmailLabs and can then use them in any list in both Aurea Campaign Manager and EmailLabs.

To create a template:

  1. On the navigation bar in EmailLabs, click Messages > Templates. The Available Template page opens.
  2. Click Create Template.
  3. In the Template Name field, type the name for this template.
  4. Optionally, type or select any information in the Template Defaults section. What's this?Closed The template defaults will be used in all messages based on this template, but you can change them for each message. For example, you can specify Monthly Newsletter as the default subject for the monthly newsletter template.
  5. Click SAVE & NEXT. The HTMLHypertext Markup Language. A set of tags used to mark the structural elements of text files. HTML files include tags that create hyperlinks to other documents on the Internet. Template Body page opens.
  6. In the HTML Template Body field, enter or paste your HTML content.
  7. Click SAVE & NEXT to open the Text Template Body page.
  8. Do one of the following:
  • If you create messages in EmailLabs, create one or more editable regions.
  • If you create messages only in Aurea Campaign Manager, click SAVE & NEXT to open the Text Template Body page.
  1. Review the text content and make necessary changes.
  2. Click SAVE & NEXT. The Template page opens.
  3. Optionally, click Preview to preview the template.
TIP

To make any changes, click BACK on the Template page.

  1. Click SAVE & FINISH. A confirmation page opens.
  2. Click BACK TO MESSAGE TEMPLATES. The template is created. The Available Templates page opens and the new template appears in the list.
