Creating, Editing, and Deleting Suppression Lists
Suppression lists give you the ability to specify which email addresses should not receive a specific message. For more information about suppression lists, see About Suppression Lists.
If you have the Edit Global Email Settings permission, you can create, edit, and delete suppression lists.
How to create a suppression list?
- On the ListsTo open the Lists page, on the Navigation bar, click Email Marketing then Lists. page, click Add List and select Suppression List.
- In the List Name field, type a unique name for the list.
- Click OK. The suppression list is created and appears on the Lists page.
TIP
You might have to scroll down the table to see the new list.
- You can now add email addresses to the suppression list.
How to rename a suppression list?
Renaming a suppression list does not affect any messages linked to that suppression list.
- On the ListsTo open the Lists page, on the Navigation bar, click Email Marketing then Lists. page, select Suppression List from the List Type drop-down list.
- Do one of the following:
- Point at the name of the list and select Edit.
- Select the check-box of the list, click More Actions and select Edit.
- In the List Name field, type the new list name. The new name must be unique.
- Click OK. The list is renamed.
How to delete one suppression list?
When you delete a suppression list, its email addresses are not removed from any mailing lists.
- On the ListsTo open the Lists page, on the Navigation bar, click Email Marketing then Lists. page, select Suppression List from the List Type drop-down list.
- Do one of the following:
- Point at the name of the list and select Delete.
- Select the check-box of the list, click More Actions and select Delete.
- Click OK. The list is deleted.
How to delete several suppression lists at once?
When you delete a suppression list, its email addresses are not removed from any mailing lists.
- On the ListsTo open the Lists page, on the Navigation bar, click Email Marketing then Lists. page, select Suppression List from the List Type drop-down list.
- Select the check-boxes of the lists you want to delete.
- Click More Actions and select Delete.
- Click OK. The lists are deleted.
