Testing a Message

You can test a message in one or both of two ways:

Quick Test

Use this option when editing content to send the message to specific email addresses.

If the message body contains mail merge tags, enhancers, or conditional content, you can also send multiple messages using random test data from your list. You might want to do this, for example, to see how your mail merge fields and dynamic content will appear to different recipients.

Aurea Campaign Managerwill not send the test messages to your contacts; it will simply use the contact's profile data and send the messages to the addresses you specify.
For example, you send three test messages to john@mail.com. Aurea Campaign Managerwill insert data from any three contacts in your list and send all three messages to john@mail.com.

Proof Message

Use this option when testing the message to send the message to your proof contacts. This option gives a more accurate result than a Quick Test because it uses your proof recipients' actual data instead of random test data.
For example, you designated john@mail.com and amy@mail.com as proof contacts. When you send the proof message to both of these contacts, Aurea Campaign Managerwill send the message to john@mail.com using his profile data, and another one to amy@mail.com using her profile data.

You can also generate EmailAdvisor reports, which provide information about message deliverability.
