Install or Upgrade Import Manager
NOTE
There is no need to remove the old version of Import Manager before upgrading to a newer version. The installation program performs all necessary clean- ups.
The following procedure applies to both initial installations of Import Manager and to upgrades to new releases.
Before installing Import Manager, perform the following actions on the Import Manager server:
- Install a Telnet client.
- Disable Windows’ software firewall.
- Disable Internet Explorer security.
- Disable User Access Control(UAC).
- Disable any anti-virus or anti-malware software.
To install or upgrade Import Manager:
- Obtain the latest Import Manager MSI installer file from Support.
- Copy the Import Manager MSI file to the machine you want to designate as the Import Manager Server. This machine must have Outlook 2010 (32-bit) installed on it.
- Log in to the Import Manager Server with AMS service account credentials.
- Launch the Import Manager MSI file.
- At the prompt, enter your EMS Service Root account username and password.
- Click Next.
- The Welcome to Import Manager Setup Manager screen appears. Click Next.
- Read the license agreement and check the box next to I accept the terms in the License Agreement.
- Click Next.
- Choose whether to do a Complete or Custom install. Unless you need to change locations for certain Import Manager components, click Complete. To perform a custom install, see "Custom Component Install" and follow the steps listed there.
- The Network Information screen appears with field information automatically populated. Verify that the information is correct and click Next.
- The Service Credentials screen appears. It will automatically populate the Domain and Username with the credentials you used to log into Windows. Enter the password and click Next.
- Click Install. The Setup Wizard installs Import Manager.
- Click Finish. The Import Console icon now appears in your Windows Start menu.
