Custom Component Install
Doing a custom component install allows you to select different install directories for Import Manager components. Typically, you would only need to do this if you have a large amount of import data and at least one additional physical disk to place the compression directory on for system performance purposes.
To do a custom component install, follow the steps in Install or Upgrade Import Manager until you reach Step 9, then follow these steps:
- Click Custom.
- A directory will come up. Click + next to AMS to expand the directory tree. The VaultBox and four subsidiary volumes appear:
- Import Manager
- Compression Directory
- Tracking Service
- VaultBox Monitor
- Select the AMS volume and click Browse to change where Import Manager will be installed.
- If you wish to change the Import Store directory, click + next to Import Manager to expand the Import Store volume. Select the Import Store volume and click Browse to select a different location.
- If you wish to change the location of the Compression Directory (such as to put it on another disk for performance purposes), select the Compression Directory volume and click Browse to select a different location.
- The Network Information screen appears with field information automatically populated. Verify that the information is correct and click Next.
- The Service Credentials screen appears. It will automatically populate the Domain and Username with the credentials you used to log into Windows. Enter the password and click Next.
- Click Install. The Setup Wizard installs Import Manager.
- Click Finish. The Import Console icon now appears in your Windows Start menu.
If you receive an error that prevents you from completing the installation, contact Support for help.
