Limitations
The following limitations apply to messages imported using Import Manager:
- Only unlocked PST files can be imported.
- Outlook cannot have the PST open (locked) while Import Manager attempts to process the file. Import Manager skips all locked files and logs the attempts.
- Unicode and ANSI PST files are supported.
- Verify that the user to which you plan to assign the imported messages belongs to a retention policy, otherwise the messages will not be imported.
- Import Manager does not support excluding "unspecified" folders.
- Auto assign owner will be applicable for doing Exchange and Office 365 mailbox import jobs.
- There is no provision to retry failed messages directly. You may find list of failed messages from CSV Report under Logs. Put them in another folder and start a new job with that folder.
