Copy Algorithm

Telephone numbers are entered in generic telephone and mobile phone fields including the country and area code (if available), but without the prefix for external calls.

If you copy a number from CRM.phone to a standard telephone field in Aurea CRM, Aurea CRM automatically verifies whether the country and area code has already been entered:

• The country code is handled as follows:
  • The Country Code field is empty: The complete telephone number (including country and area code) is entered in the standard telephone field.
  • The Country Code field contains a country code: If the country code differs from the code in the copied number, the complete telephone number (including country and area code) is entered. If the country codes match, the area code is tested.
• The area code is handled as follows:
  • The Area Code field is empty: The complete telephone number (including country and area code) is entered in the standard telephone field.
  • The Area Code field contains an area code: If the area code differs from the code in the copied number, the complete telephone number (including country and area code) is entered.
  • If both country and area codes match, the telephone number is entered in the standard telephone field without the country and area code.
