Conditions Tab

Learn how to define conditions that determine which records are displayed in a level.

Use the Conditions tab to define conditions that determine which records are displayed in a level:

  1. Double-click on (Condition) to define a condition (see Conditions in the User Manual), or click on (Load) to load an existing condition.

Click on (Edit) to edit the selected condition. Click on (Delete) to delete the selected condition. Click on (View) to display the condition.

  2. You can apply the condition to the info area as follows:
    • No additional settings: The condition is inactive. Users can activate the condition by selecting Data > Activate Conditions > <Info Area> and edit the condition by selecting Data > Define Conditions > <Info Area>.
    • The Active check box is enabled: The condition is active. Users can deactivate the condition by selecting Data > Activate Conditions > <Info Area> and edit the condition by selecting Data > Define Conditions > <Info Area>.
    • The Mandatory Condition check box is enabled: The condition is active and cannot be deactivated or edited by users.
Note: These conditions affect the display of records in a specific level. Use the Rights module to define conditions affecting the display of records in info areas, see Conditional Access to Info Areas in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.
  3. The lower section of the mask contains settings applicable to child levels of the Company+Person level:
    • Person-related/Company-related/Both: Determine which option is enabled by default when the level is opened. Users can change this setting in the Data menu.

This setting is only applied if you also enable the Always open level with these conditions option.

    • As fixed default The level is opened with the selected setting (Person-related/Company-related/Both). Users cannot change this setting in the Data menu.
    • Always open level with these conditions: If this option is enabled, the level is always opened with the selected setting (conditions and Person-related/Company-related/Both). If the option is disabled, the settings are loaded when the user opens the level for the first time. Once the user changes the settings, the user settings are applied the next time the level is opened.
