Desktop

Desktop formats allow you to configure user interface elements, levels and info areas, as well as define new levels.

The settings are saved in a format (see Formats in the User Manual) and can be assigned to users, groups and stations, see Assigning Desktops.

You can:

  • configure how users can navigate in Aurea CRM win (define start levels and provide access to levels, dashboards and workflows from the icon bar or Info menu), see Navigation.
  • configure the menus in Aurea CRM win (rename or deny access to entries), see Configuring Menus.
  • configure the user interface in Aurea CRM win (colors, skins, context menu, level headers etc.), see Configuring the User Interface.
  • add buttons to the general toolbar (templates, search, print, program calls), see Configuring the General Toolbar.
  • define level properties (masks, header, templates, conditions etc.), see Level Properties.
  • define info area settings (references, search, filter masks, conditional formatting, tree view), see Info Area Settings.
  • create parent desktops containing default settings that are extended by child desktops that contain settings for specific departments or users, see Extended Desktops.
  • deny access to levels, see Denying Access to Levels.
  • define new levels, see Defining New Levels.

Use access rights to prevent users, groups or stations from defining new levels and accessing the desktop settings, see Defining Further Settings in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.
