Import/Export

Use the Import and Export modules to exchange data between Aurea CRM and external systems (databases, spreadsheets, etc.).

You can export Aurea CRM data to external files or to external databases directly. The supported databases are Oracle and MSSQL. Exporting and Importing in general follow the following steps.

1. Create an import or export format, see Defining an Import/Export format.
   Note: If you are importing data, you also need to verify that you have met all the import requirements (see Import and Export Requirements) and define your match-up settings (see Match-up). You require read access to the data you wish to export.
2. Execute the import or export, see Executing the Import and Executing the Export.

You can also execute imports and exports from the command line.

Imports can also be carried out in Aurea CRM web and via a CRM.server to-do or job, see Import in the Aurea CRM web Administrator Guide and CRM.server in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.

Exporting all catalog values using the export module only exports variable catalog values but not the fixed catalog values. Fixed catalog values are part of the data model and are stored in the database as binary data and cannot be retrieved directly.
