User Interface

You can customize Aurea CRM's interface to reflect your company's processes and the needs of your users.

The following options are available:

  • Users can configure the appearance of Aurea CRM by selecting View > Desktop Properties form the menu, see Configuring the Display in the User Manual. Settings are automatically saved for each user in a format of the type "User Settings", see Formats in the User Manual.

You can deny users access to these options in the interface settings, see User Rights Tab.

  • Users can select Extras > Other Options from the menu to configure settings relating to the header icons and popup notifications displayed for reminders and messages, see User Interface in the User Manual. These settings are saved for each user in the mm.cfg file.

You can deny users access to these options in the desktop settings, see Configuring Menus.

  • Users can display data in mask and list view, configure lists, load custom masks etc., see Masks and Lists in the User Manual. These settings are saved for each user and module in the pro*. cfg files in the user directories. List settings can also be saved as formats.

You can prevent users from loading user-defined list settings for specific levels in the desktop settings (Level Properties > Mask/List > Do not load last settings).

  • Users can save dashboards as formats, see Dashboards in the User Manual.

You can deny users access to the dashboard menu option in the desktop settings, see Configuring Menus.

  • Use the Mask Generator to create and edit masks and lists, see Mask Generator. Masks and lists are saved as formats.
  • Use the desktop settings to configure elements in the user interface, levels and info areas, as well as to define new levels, see Desktop. These settings are saved in formats.

Use access rights to prevent users, groups or stations from defining new levels, and accessing the Mask Generator and desktop settings, see Defining Further Settings in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.

Note: User-specific settings take precedence over dashboard and desktop settings.
