Configuring Stations Automatically

You can largely automate the process of adding reps and their stations (offline stations) so that local administrators can set up users and stations for Aurea CRM web offline without requiring access to Aurea CRM win.

To do so, the following steps are required in Aurea CRM win:

  1. Define communication formats used to communicate between the server and offline station, see Communication Format.
  2. Configure the server to automatically add new offline stations, see Configuring the Offline Server.
  3. Define station access rights for the offline stations and default values for the Station, Central Login Configuration and Communication info areas, see Defining Access Rights and Default Values.
  4. Define the Z5 variable update_OfflineSyncDefinition, see Defining a Synchronization Variable.

Enable the Offline user field in the Rep info area to trigger the automatic creation of all necessary records required for the station (station, login, communication connections), see Adding Offline Users.
