Manual Communication

Leanr about manual communication in Win CRM.

Use manual communication:

Prerequisites for manual communication:

Start the manual communication session from the Communication or Station info areas, see Starting Communication.

Communication with Change Control

If you input using a communication format where the Change control option is enabled (see Field Properties), a dialog is displayed for each change to a field's contents:

Disable the Upd cell to prevent a change from being applied to the local database.

Click (OK) to continue inputting the communication file.

Click (Cancel) to cancel the input process. The communication file is retained in the in directory and can be input at a later time.

Communication with Manual Match-up

If Aurea CRM finds a similar company (according to the match -up settings) when inputting data, the Match-up info area is opened:

Compare the external record (mask) with the internal records (list):

  • Click External Mask or Internal Mask to display all fields in the external or internal record.
  • Use the Name and Address buttons to display records with similar names or addresses.
  • Select a record in the list and click on (Found) to merge the external record with the selected record.
  • Click on (Not Found) to add the external record as a new record. (If you are using the No. Found -> Compare Name/ Addr . match-up option, the record is rejected as false instead of being added.)
  • Click on (Cancel) to cancel the match-up process.

Inputting SIM files

Similar records that are logged as a result of automatic communication (No. Similar -> Log, Name/Address Similar->Log, ->Log options) must be input and matched up manually, see Automatic Communication with SIM Files.

  1. Transfer the SIM files to the corresponding in directory. For example, if records from a branch office (station 101) have been logged on the main office (station 1), they need to be transferred from the \1\sim directory to the \101\in directory.
  2. Switch to the corresponding communication connection in the Communication info area, see Manual Communication.
  3. Select Input from the context menu.
  4. Match up the records as described in Communication with Manual Match-up.
Note: Input the sim files before the next automatic input.
