Match-Up Control

You can define specific match-up conditions for companies, persons and properties (BTB only).

These conditions can extend or replace the default behavior (match-up by primary key), see Match-up.

You can define rulesets used to match up records automatically or determine that similar records should be matched up manually.

Note: Aurea recommends using the default settings (match up by primary key) for companies, persons and properties.

To define your own match-up conditions:

  1. Switch to the C.Format info area.
  2. Load the communication format you wish to define the settings for or define a new format, see Defining a Communication Format.
  3. Click in the Match-up control cell of the desired info area (Company, Person, Person in Company or Property).

  4. Click on (New).

The Match-up Control dialog box is displayed, see Match-Up Control Options.

  5. Click on OK (without changing the settings) to define the default behavior (match up by primary key) as the first line.

  6. Define additional lines containing the desired settings, see Match-Up Control Options.

The lines are processed in the order they are listed. Edit the number in the first column to change the order of the lines.

  7. Return to the C.Format info area.
  8. Save the communication format and assign it to the desired communication connection, see Defining Communication Connections.
Note: The match-up settings for FI and KP must be identical.
