Bank Lockbox

Learn about Lockbox payment type.

Cheques are the most favored mode of payment used. The Supplier's bank receives Customer payments via a lockbox file. Each night the bank sends an electronic file to CIS where the payment details are received and posted to individual Customer accounts.

If any exceptions occur while posting the payments to Customer accounts, it can be handled through Pending Payments functionality. For more information, see Pending Payments.

The Pending Payments functionality allows the user to process payments exceptions that did not load to a Customer’s account for a variety of reasons.
