Pending Payments

Learn to process pending payments.

Customer payments are received via lockbox file from the Supplier’s bank every afternoon. The Pending Payments functionality allows the user to process payments exceptions that did not load to a Customer’s account for a variety of reasons.

To process pending payments, do the following:

  1. Go to Administration Menu > Deposit/Payment > Pending Payments.
  2. On the Pending Payments page, select the dropdown values for the fields as per your requirement.

    Dropdowns Description
    Division Select the Customer division.
    Source Select the source of payment for which you want to post payment.
    Status Status of the payment - Select Exceptions to see the records not posted due to some exception.
    Validation Type Select the desired validation to filter the result as per the exception validation.
    Trace Reference no. It is a number to trace the payment.
    List and Download button List button displays the list of exceptions. Download button downloads the exceptions in .csv format.
  3. Click on List button. This displays the exceptions.
  4. Click on Action button. Set the following on the list of exceptions that appears.

    Field Description
    Apply To Select All payments from dropdown if action needs to apply on all the records in the list. Otherwise select the records by checking on the corresponding checkbox.
    Post Date Override Enter post date
    Payment Action Select the desired payment action from the dropdown.
    Apply and Cancel button Click on Apply button to apply the action. Click Cancel button to exit the action section and cancel payment posting.
