Communicating via E-mail

You can send communication files using an e-mail client that supports MAPI.

The communication files are sent via e-mail. The receiving station identifies the files and inputs them automatically.

Prerequisites for communication via e-mail:

  • Enter the corresponding e-mail address of the communicating stations in the station records (E-mail addr . field on the Address tab), see Defining Stations.
  • Enable the E-mail check box for the corresponding communication connections in the Communication info area, see Defining Communication Connections.
    Note: Only enable the E-mail check box once you have output the initial data stock download(s), or use the oe parameter to output data stock downloads, see mmco.exe Parameters.
  • If communication should be time-controlled (without any manual interaction), you need to define a settings that can be used by Aurea CRM to log on to the e-mail client. These settings depend on your e-mail client and version of Aurea CRM. For further information, contact Aurea's support, see Aurea Global Support topic in the Introduction.
  • You need to define a default profile that can be used by Aurea CRM to log on to your e-mail client.
