Defining Hierarchic Levels

You can display records in the tree view in hierarchic levels.

For further information on hierarchic levels, see Hierarchic Levels in the User Manual.

To define hierarchic sub-levels for a level:

  1. Define an n:1 link from the info area to itself in the data model, see Link in the CRM.core Administrator Guide.
  2. Apply the changes to the current data model.
  3. Select Extras > Define Desktop from the menu.
  4. Define a new level, see Defining New Levels.
  5. Select "Hierarchy" in the Type field under Properties.
  6. Select the info area contained in the parent level under Info area selection (e.g. the Property info area (BTB only) for the property hierarchy).

If no Index is defined in the settings in the transfer field format, Aurea CRM win searches for a suitable index at runtime. If no suitable index is found, the level is not opened.

  7. Define a Mask with any number of tab groups. The first tab with the following properties is used for the tree view, see Tab Group Properties:
    • the tab group must be empty (no fields etc.)
    • the No tab label option on the View tab must be disabled
    • the Always visible option on the Colors tab must be enabled
  8. Select the desired parent level under Predecessor (see Defining Parent Levels) and/or define the Relationship with Parent, see Defining the Relationship with the Parent Level.
  9. Click on OK.
  10. Add an option to the context menu in the parent level used to access the hierarchic view, see Accessing Levels with the Context Menu.
  11. Save the desktop format.
