Level Settings
The Level Settings window is used to determine general settings for the level.
Follow the below steps:
- Choose one of the categories: Edit, General or Open. For each option in the list, determine whether the option is Permitted or Not permitted, see Edit Options, General Options and Open Options.
- Enable the check boxes under Level commands to determine which
buttons are displayed in the level header. Enable Select All to
select all options.Note: Include only the buttons required based on your settings in step 1.These settings are applied to all variants of the level, irrespective of the parent level.
- Click on OK.
Edit Options
PRO_MULTIPLE_INSTANCES |
The level can only be opened once. |
PRO_SAVE |
Not allowed: The last settings used are not saved for this level (i.e. mask, conditions, sort criteria). |
PRO_FILTER |
Not allowed: Conditions cannot be applied to the level. The corresponding options in the menu are disabled. However, you can still apply autofilters. |
PRO_SEARCH |
Not allowed: The search is disabled for this level. The Search options in the header and menu are disabled. |
PRO_MODE_SCROLL |
Not allowed: View mode is disabled for the level. The level is opened in either new or edit mode. |
PRO_MODE_INSERT |
Not allowed: New mode is disabled for the level. Clicking the New button has no effect. |
PRO_MODE_UPDATE |
Not allowed: Edit mode is disabled for the level. Clicking the Edit button has no effect. |
PRO_NEW |
Not allowed: Templates cannot be defined for new records in the New - Templates tab in the desktop settings. |
General Options
PRO_UI_MASK |
Not allowed: Mask view is disabled. The level is loaded with the custom mask. The menu options used to load masks are disabled and corresponding entries in the desktop settings are disabled. |
PRO_UI_LIST |
Not allowed: List view is disabled. The List button in the level header is disabled. |
PRO_UI_MASK2 |
Not allowed: The custom mask is disabled for this level. The menu option used to load the custom mask is disabled. |
PRO_UI_INTEGRATE |
Allowed: The level is always displayed in integrated view. Not allowed: The level may not be displayed in the integrated view. The button used to switch to the integrated view in the level header is not displayed. |
PRO_UI_INTEGRATE_CHILD |
Allowed: Child levels are always displayed in integrated mode. Not allowed: Child levels cannot be displayed in integrated mode. |
PRO_UI_INTEGRATE_HORZ |
Allowed: Dependent levels are integrated horizontally when they are first opened. |
PRO_UI_INTEGRATE_VERT |
Allowed: Dependent levels are integrated vertically when they are first opened. |
PRO_UI_LIST_TOTAL |
Not allowed: Sum totals are not permitted in lists. |
PRO_UI_LOAD_PMASK |
Not allowed: The summary index card cannot be loaded; the corresponding menu option is disabled. |
PRO_UI_LOAD_MASK |
No masks can be loaded in mask view. |
PRO_UI_LOAD_LIST |
No masks can be loaded in list view. |
PRO_UI_MASK_HEADER |
Not allowed: The level is displayed without the level header. The Header tab in the desktop settings is no longer displayed. |
PRO_UI_MASK_CONTEXT |
Not allowed: The level is displayed without a context menu. The Context Menu tab in the desktop settings is no longer displayed. |
PRO_UI_INFOBAR |
Not allowed: The level is displayed without the icon bar. |
PRO_UI_NOVGSCROLL |
Not allowed: Prevents scrolling between records in parent levels using the summary index card. |
Open Options
PRO_CRE_NOT_SAVE |
Allowed: The settings last used by the level are not restored when the level is reopened. |
PRO_CRE_DUPLICATE |
Allowed: A new instance is created each time the level is opened. |
PRO_CRE_CLOSE_MULTIPLE_INSTANCE |
If multiple instances are not permitted, open instances are automatically closed before opening the new instance. |
PRO_CRE_LOCK_ACTIVE |
Allowed: No other level can be given focus whilst this level is open. |
PRO_CRE_LOCK_INACTIVE |
Allowed: The level cannot be given focus. |
PRO_CRE_CLOSE_ON_COMMAND |
Allowed: Clicking on OK, Save or Cancel automatically closes the level. |
PRO_CRE_NOTQUEUE |
Allowed: The level is not stored in the history (i.e. you cannot return to the level using the Back and Forwards buttons). |
