Accessing Smart Document User Interface

To create a new document, access the Smart Document User Interface (UI) as follows:

  1. Access the library
  2. Open the Document ribbon by clicking Documents under the Library Tools tab
  3. Select Smart Document from the New Document menu on the Document ribbon
    Tip: Alternatively you can click on Add new document link on the regulatory site landing page.
The system returns the Smart Document UI. The UI allows a user to either create a document from a standard template (default) or to create a document from an uploaded file. If the user chooses to upload a document, click Browse to locate and select the document to be uploaded.
