Phase 5 - Decision

In this phase, check the offer selected by customer and take decision accordingly.

In this phase, you can no longer edit the offer header and cannot edit or add offer items.

Click on Create E-mail to send a new e-mail relating to the offer, or switch to the Activities tab to edit and send e-mails that have not yet been sent.

Once you have received a decision from the customer, you can enter it:

  1. Click the Decision button.
  2. You can select which decision the customer has made and how you wish to proceed:
    • Offer has been rejected - create new version, see Offer Versions.

      A new version of the offer is created and opened in phase 2 (Offer Items). The original offer proceeds to phase 6 (Conclusion) and the Stage is set to 7 - Closed - Versioning and the Status is set to Lost.

    • Offer has been rejected - lost

      You are asked why the offer was lost and against which competitor.

      The offer proceeds to phase 6 (Conclusion) and the Stage is set to 6 - Closed - Lost.

    • Offer has been won - convert to order

      An order is added. You can access the order from the Orders tab.

      The offer proceeds to phase 6 (Conclusion), the Stage is set to 5 - Closed - Won and the Status is set to Order

      Note: You can also select Copy to Order from the offer’s context menu to create an order from the offer.

      You can only generate an order from an offer once; if an offer has already been copied to an order, you cannot copy it to another order.

    • Offer has been won - no further actions

      The offer proceeds to phase 6 (Conclusion) and the Stage is set to 5 - Closed - Won.

Note: You can select Copy to Order from the offer’s context menu in the company and person tree views (Offers node) to subsequently copy the offer to an order. The order is always added for a company, i.e. for the person's company when adding the order for a person.
