Yammer

Yammer provides a chat function for company-internal communication, which can be integrated in Aurea CRM web on demand.

Note: Aurea CRM web includes a Yammer interface, but Yammer needs to be configured accordingly. Contact your Aurea representative if you wish to use Yammer.

You need to register your company for yammer at http://www.yammer.com. Depending on which functions you wish to use, you can choose between a free and pay model. Aurea CRM web supports both options.

When registering, you are issued with an ID that can be used to integrate Yammer with Aurea CRM web. Registered employees can log on to the Yammer network using their login data (company e-mail address and Yammer password).

Your company can determine which info areas provide access to Yammer. For example, your company can choose to allow chats to be created for companies and opportunities in Aurea CRM web. News feeds are displayed in both applications as follows:

Information (e.g. concerning an opportunity) can thus quickly be made available to all employees or members of a project group.

News Feed in Aurea CRM web

The Yammer tab is available in info areas associated with a Yammer project. Only conversations concerning the current record are displayed in this tab:

Projects in Yammer

All registered users’ news feeds are displayed in Yammer at www.yammer.com/<Your Company>.

Note: Access rights assigned in Aurea CRM web do not apply to Yammer. For example, access to opportunities can be restricted in Aurea CRM web (e.g. to just sales staff). If Yammer is linked to opportunities, sales reps can log in to Yammer from opportunity records and post messages. These messages are however visible to all users in Yammer (and not just to users that can access opportunities), and all users can reply to messages there.

Daily and Weekly Overview

Yammer includes daily and weekly summaries (digests) that inform users about ongoing conversations. These digests are sent via e-mail.
