Message Tagging
NOTE
Only users assigned Archive Reviewer permissions by your AMS administrator will be able to access, use or configure this functionality.
To assist Archive Reviewers, individual messages can be tagged as an excellent way to mark specific messages for quick retrieval.
Notes about message tagging:
- An individual message can be tagged with multiple Tags, by multiple Reviewers.
- Tags are created within a Reviewer Group and affect only messages within the scope of that Reviewer Group.
- Each Reviewer can manage the Tags associated with the Reviewer Groups the individual Reviewer is a member of. They cannot manage Tags belonging to other Reviewer Groups.
- Message Tags are retained until they are removed by the Reviewer. See Remove Tags from messages.
Once messages have been tagged, that Tag can be entered as a search term and the resulting sub-set of messages can be used to:
- Create a Discovery Archive that can be exported into PST or EML file using Export Manager.
- Create a Retention Hold that prevents the sub-set of messages from being deleted during the normal Archive process that purges old messages.
To access the list of tags configured for the reviewer groups that you have access to, click the Manage Tags tab.
