Creating a Quiz

Prior to quiz creation, a document must have the Training Required option set to Quiz. If the Training Required option is set to ReadAndUnderstood or No Training, the Create/Edit Quiz option will not be available on the NextDocs menu.

If a document needs modification, the Training Required option must be set to its desired value before the document is released for approval. Once the document is released for approval, the document cannot be modified until a new minor version of the document is created.

Tip: Note that the document name and the next major version are prepopulated and not modifiable. The quiz is associated with that version of that document.

To set Training Required:

  1. Select Edit Properties from the context menu of a document for which the quiz is to be created or modified
  2. Select Quiz from the Training Required menu
  3. Click Save

To create/edit a quiz:

  1. Select Create/Edit Quiz from NextDocs menu on the document’s context menu
  2. Optionally, modify the Quiz Title. The length of the quiz title should be less than 255 characters. If a quiz author enters a quiz title that exceeds the maximum allowable number of characters, a warning message is displayed. The message identifies the maximum allowable characters for that quiz
  3. Enter an overview or an introduction in the Overview/Introduction textbox. The information is displayed at the top of the quiz page when a trainee accesses the quiz, and the information describes the quiz and offers instructions concerning the quiz. The quiz overview should not exceed 2000 characters.
  4. Enter a pass percentage in the Pass Percentage textbox. This is the percentage the trainee must meet or exceed in order to pass the quiz. The pass percentage must be between 0 and 100.
  5. Click Save Quiz or begin adding questions to the quiz
