Private Customers and Roles

When adding a private customer, enter their personal details and private contact data (e.g. their date of birth, private e-mail address).

To add a private customer:

  1. Select (Accounts) > New Private Customer. The person mask is displayed.
  2. Enter the data.
  3. Save the record.

    The person tree is displayed.

  • Click on the Roles node in the tree to display all the person’s roles at various companies.
  • The person tree displays all records linked to the person, e.g. all activities linked to the person in any role.

A private customer can also occupy a role at a company. In this case, the private customer is both a contact person at a company and a private customer. The same person can occupy roles at multiple companies.

To add a role at a company for a private customer:

  1. Switch to the desired private customer.
  2. Click on the Roles node in the tree.
  3. Click on (New Role) in the results list.
  4. Select the Company.
  5. Enter the person’s company-specific details (e.g. Function and contact data at the company).
  6. Save the record.

To add another role at a company for a contact person:

  1. Switch to the desired company and select the contact person.
  2. Switch to the All Roles tab under Related Data.
  3. Click on (New Role in Another Company) to add a new role for the person at a different company.
  4. Find and select the company (or click on (New) to add a new company).
  5. Enter the person’s company-specific details (e.g. Function and contact data at the company).
  6. Save the record.
Note: You can enter up to five functions, positions and departments per role.
