Adding Relationships
To add a new relationship:
- Switch to the desired company/person, click on Relationships in the tree and then click on
(New) in the results list.
- Choose whether you want to add a relationship with a company (Company Search) or a person (Person Search).
- Select the record you want to add the relationship with in the search results.
- Determine whether a reciprocal relationship should be added.
The Do you want to create a reciprocal relationship? check box is enabled by default. If the type of relationship you are adding is between two companies and of the type "Parent", the reciprocal relationship is "Subsidiary" (i.e. one company is the parent company and the other is the parent’s subsidiary).
- You can double-click on an existing relationship on the Predefined tab to use that relationship.
- If the relationship you wish to define is not listed, switch to the Customize tab to define the desired relationship:
- Enter the Type of relationship, the Relationship and the Business Area. The first row defines the relationship, the second row defines the reciprocal relationship.
- Click on Continue to add the relationship.
