Match-up

To prevent duplicate records from being added to the database, new records are matched up with existing records in the database.

Your administrator can define:

  • That similar sounding names are listed (phonetic match-up)
  • That new records are always saved without being matched up.
  • Whether persons are matched up with all persons in the database, or only those in the same company.

If a similar record is found in the database, the Duplicates Found window is displayed. If more than five similar records are found in the database, use the navigation bar to switch between records. For further details, see Navigation Bar.

Select one of the available actions (What would you like to do?) and click on OK.
