Supplier Consolidated Model
Learn about the Supplier Consolidated model flow.
In the Supplier consolidated model, the LDC provides an electronic invoice for distribution services (TDSP charges) to the Supplier along with meter read for each Customer. See Inbound 810 (TDSP Charges) in Transactions.
The Supplier then calculates its charges and sends a single invoice to the end Customer for an amount covering both energy and distribution costs.
The end Customer sends a single payment back to the Supplier. The Supplier pays the distribution charges to the LDC within a fixed period of time regardless of whether the energy Supplier receives payment from the end Customer or not.
The LDC can pass its TDSP charges at two levels:
- Customer level - TDSP charges for each Customer of the Supplier separately.
- Supplier level - Total TDSP charges consumed by all the Customers of the Supplier together.
